Songmakers' weekend campouts are held several times a year at Kenney Grove Park in Fillmore. A registration form will be included in the Bard Chord or may be printed from one of the the PDFs below.

Those wishing to arrive Thursday may check in starting at 12 noon (checkout by 2 PM Sunday (Monday on Memorial or Labor Day Weekend). Those not wanting to camp can come for any or all of the days by paying $7 per day/ per car at the gate.

The weekends will be mostly informal song circle jamming and relaxation, however, there will be some scheduled activities including Songs of Meaning on Sunday morning. This means that you may perform or request any song that has special meaning for you.

Song circle jamming should be conducted much like hoots in that everyone should be recognized and encouraged to participate, especially at the two official fireside places - the one where we have Songs of Meaning, and the one next to the potluck dinner area. Some jams at individual campsites doing specific kinds of music may want to post signs such as "Rock and Roll Jamming," "Sing-alongs," "Country Music," "Bluegrass" etc., along with the scheduled time. This will encourage those interested in this particular kind of music to join your song circle.

There will normally be a Saturday night concert with sign-ups beginning at the Ice Cream Social on Saturday afternoon. On Memorial Day Weekend there will often be a Sunday evening Band Scramble as well.

Activity schedules will be posted around the campground

Coffee will be provided Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Monday) mornings. There will be a potluck dinner Saturday at 5:30 PM. Shower tokens will be available for fifty cents each and may be purchased at Kenney Grove.

There is no RV dump site at Kenney Grove but there is one in Fillmore at the west end of River St. (just west of E St.) - Talk to other RV owners for specifics.

Kenney Grove Park is located just outside the town of Fillmore on route 126. You may take 126 west from the Interstate 5 (near Magic Mountain) or east from the Ventura Freeway just north of Ventura. You may also take Hwy 23 North out of Moorpark and turn left on Hwy 126. Just west of Fillmore you will see a sign for Kenney Grove Park. Follow the Kenny Grove signs from there (turn on Old Telegraph Road off the 126, then left on 7th street and right on N. Oak Ave. to the Park). CLICK HERE FOR GOOGLE MAP
